Building on Colt’s Snake Gun legacy, the legendary double-action revolver returns in stainless steel in 4.25” and 6” barrel lengths. The 2020 Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you’ll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates .38 Special cartridges.

The re-introduction of the iconic Colt Python brought a singular focus to Davidson’s purchasing team – make a special edition only available through Davidson’s. Working in conjunction with Automated Finishing, Davidson’s was able to design an exquisite engraved version of the 4.25” barreled model of the new Python. The engraving is armory-grade cut engraving and encompasses the barrel, full underlug, frame, and backstrap. The top of the rib is left matte stainless to cut glare while sighting. Davidson’s special edition engraved Colt Python begins as a standard stainless 4.25” barreled Python chambered in .357 Magnum with walnut grip, red-ramp front sight, and adjustable rear sight.
