This round features a 300 grain full metal jacket projectile. The bullet is made by Speer in the same fashion as their popular Gold Dot line of ammunition, where an alloyed lead core is electrochemically fused to its copper jacket one single molecule at a time. This round’s brass case is nickel plated via the Ducta-Bright 7a process. The plating reduces friction for more reliable feeding and extraction as well as staves off corrosion, and it is less brittle so you can count on being able to reload it. Underwood’s propellant is also formulated to reduce muzzle flash.
